The past few weeks I have been diligently pruning the apple trees and berry bushes. It’s a time consuming process, especially with the berries. They not only have to be pruned, but the canes need to be attached to the trellis. But it’s worth it, because these steps now ensure a better berry crop and also helps keep disease away.
This barn was built in the 1880s and served as the horse barn. The large door on the right housed the horse carriage.
