I've been here for nearly three weeks and I'm still breaking things...so here's us fixing the brush hog before I could go and cut more grass.
Jeff took the photos below last night while I was brush hogging! The (few) blueberries we have are looking gooooood. Here's to hoping the birds and animals don't get them...but they probably will. Sadly. The raspberries are coming in already though, and they taste so good. Jeff and I always joke that they could use a little RoundUp, though, for that savory chemical flavor. But seriously, they are sweet and delicious and well worth the work that has been put into them with weeding, fertilizing, replacing dead ones, and putting in trellises, etc.
Tucker has been gone since the 13th 'cause he was called to active duty (he's in the national guard), but he'll be back in a few days' time.
Over the weekend Leah and I planted a few pumpkins (including giant pumpkins!) and then went into the city to get our haircut by Anthony, who’s been cutting hair in the Conover fam for quite a while...and apparently he knows my parents from a really long time ago. He’s a super guy and he did a reeeeeally nice job on our hair. Now I can see why Emma Watson went to him when she was filming The Perks of Being a Wallflower! We also stopped into the strip district to get some Graskaas cheese because it’s soooooo gooooood. Hopefully 4lbs will last us longer than a couple of days this time.
We're getting closer to harvesting time, just enjoying the things that have come in so far like lettuce and cilantro. But we're getting really hyped for the berries. I mean, they're berries.
