This morning we replace some of the raspberry bushes that (sadly) didn't make it...But! It was only a few and everything is looking goooooood. I can't wait for the berries...seriously. Can't wait. We weeded the squash, melons, leeks, shallots, onions, and snap peas this morning as well, and ripped out all the milkweed between the rows! Everything is coming in nicely, and it's makin' me antsy for harvesting time! Oh, and did I mention that I somehow picked up a country accent when no one on the farm has one, nor does anyone I've spoken to off the farm? Don't know how I got it, but I can't stop.
Most excitingly, Diana and I did some beekeeping things this afternoon! I had to wear girl clothes, and I was little displeased...Those who know me might understand. But it was worth it!
So that was the highlight of my weekend I'd say. Beekeeping. Sure beats weeding! Although that's fun too because you get to see the plants up close and personal.
